Today we\u2019re announcing Dina Powell McCormick is joining Meta as President and Vice Chairman.<\/p>\n
Dina served as an invaluable member of Meta\u2019s Board of Directors, and she\u2019s been deeply engaged as we\u2019ve accelerated our pursuit of frontier AI and personal superintelligence.\u00a0<\/p>\n
As we scale, the complexity of what we\u2019re building is changing. Meta is creating the massive physical and financial model that will power the next decade of computing \u2014 including data centers, energy systems, and global connectivity at an unprecedented scale.<\/p>\n
\u201cDina\u2019s experience at the highest levels of global finance, combined with her deep relationships around the world, makes her uniquely suited to help Meta manage this next phase of growth as the company\u2019s President and Vice Chairman,\u201d said Meta Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Dina will be a member of Meta\u2019s management team, helping guide the company\u2019s overall strategy and execution. She will partner with the compute and infrastructure teams to ensure our multi-billion-dollar investments execute against our goals and drive positive economic impact in the communities where we operate around the world. And, she will drive an effort to build new strategic capital partnerships and find innovative ways to expand our long-term investment capacity.<\/p>\n
About Dina:<\/p>\n
Dina brings more than 25 years of experience at the highest levels of global finance, national security, and economic development.<\/p>\n
Dina spent 16 years at Goldman Sachs as a partner in senior leadership roles, including serving on the firm\u2019s Management Committee and leading its Global Sovereign Investment Banking business. During her tenure, she spearheaded some of the firm\u2019s most influential and successful economic development initiatives, including 10,000 Women, 10,000 Small Businesses, and One Million Black Women, programs that have driven long-term economic growth and opportunity around the world.<\/p>\n
In public service, Dina has served two US presidents. She was Deputy National Security Advisor to President Donald J. Trump and served as a Senior White House Advisor and Assistant Secretary of State for Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice under President George W. Bush.
