PHOENIX \u2014 A man allegedly stabbed and killed his brother in central Phoenix on Sunday night, authorities said.<\/p>\n

The Phoenix Police Department identified the man as 24-year-old Ali-Ondre Hampton.<\/p>\n

Hampton was booked into jail on a second-degree murder charge on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

What led to the fatal central Phoenix stabbing?<\/p>\n

According to Phoenix police, officers responded to the area of 16th Street and Thomas Road<\/a> for reports of a stabbing around 11:46 p.m.<\/p>\n

When police arrived at the scene, they found 30-year-old Timotheus Keshon Hampton suffering from at least one stab wound. They also made contact with Ali-Ondre Hampton.<\/p>\n

Timotheus Hampton was taken by the Phoenix Fire Department to a nearby hospital, where he later died.<\/p>\n

Preliminary information suggests that the brothers were involved in an altercation when the stabbing occurred, police said.<\/p>\n

Ali-Ondre Hampton was questioned before he was booked into jail, according to police.<\/p>\n

The investigation into the central Phoenix stabbing is ongoing.<\/p>\n
