That&#8217;s because the river is being drained for cleaning.<\/p>\n<p>The San Antonio River Main Channel from West Josephine Street to South Alamo Street is being drained as part of the River Walk Maintenance program. <\/p>\n<p>Crews are removing sediment build-up and debris, inspecting the channel&#8217;s integrity, as well as making any necessary repairs.<\/p>\n<p>The last full draining was two years ago in <a href=\"https:\/\/news4sanantonio.com\/newsletter-daily\/san-antonio-river-walk-undergoes-annual-clean-up-no-disruption-to-businesses-expected-businesses-clean-river-walk-disruption\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">January of 2024<\/a>. Work is expected to wrap up by next Monday, Jan. 19.
