{"id":513035,"date":"2026-01-13T12:00:09","date_gmt":"2026-01-13T12:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/513035\/"},"modified":"2026-01-13T12:00:09","modified_gmt":"2026-01-13T12:00:09","slug":"adam-beckerink-chicago-news-attorney-accused-of-murdering-wife-caitlin-tracey-in-south-loop-high-rise-expected-in-court-tuesday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/513035\/","title":{"rendered":"Adam Beckerink, Chicago news: Attorney accused of murdering wife Caitlin Tracey in South Loop high-rise expected in court Tuesday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao MvWXB TjIXL aGjvy ebVHC \">CHICAGO (WLS) &#8212; A man accused of murdering his wife at a South Loop high rise is back in Chicago and expected in court Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Adam Beckerink is expected to be formally charged with Caitlin Tracey&#8217;s murder.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">She was found dead at the bottom of the stairwell in his South Loop condo building in October of 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Chopper7 showed Chicago police detectives walking Beckerink into the station at Belmont and Western.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">He was extradited here from Michigan, where he <a class=\"zZygg UbGlr iFzkS qdXbA WCDhQ DbOXS tqUtK GpWVU iJYzE \" data-testid=\"prism-linkbase\" href=\"https:\/\/abc7chicago.com\/post\/adam-beckerink-wife-caitlin-tracey-died-south-loop-chicago-high-rise-sentenced-domestic-violence-michigan\/18045268\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">served a sentence for domestic violence against Tracey.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">A murder warrant was issued for Beckerink one year after Tracey was found dead, her foot severed and her body pulverized.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Now, after months of serving his sentence in Michigan, Beckerink was served a governor&#8217;s warrant signed by JB Pritzker for first degree murder to bring him back to Illinois.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \"><strong class=\"vtkaO \">SEE ALSO | <\/strong><a class=\"zZygg UbGlr iFzkS qdXbA WCDhQ DbOXS tqUtK GpWVU iJYzE \" data-testid=\"prism-linkbase\" href=\"https:\/\/abc7chicago.com\/post\/report-details-adam-beckerinks-behavior-during-court-ordered-drug-test-accused-murdering-caitlin-tracey-south-loop-condo\/18092567\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Report details behavior during drug test by man accused of murdering wife at his South Loop condo<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The I-Team recently asking Chicago Police Superintendent Larry Snelling about the case in a candid sit-down interview.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">&#8220;The detective division dedicated hours and days and months to this to make sure that they brought justice to someone by getting this person charged,&#8221; Superintendent Snelling said. &#8220;Sometimes these things are lengthy.
