But the mood wasn\u2019t entirely jovial.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Hospitals and health insurers are staring down <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statnews.com\/2025\/07\/08\/trump-tax-bill-winners-losers-how-health-care-industry-lobbyists-failed-to-stop-cuts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">roughly $1 trillion in cuts to Medicaid<\/a> over the coming decade, a historic change that will require them to rethink how they operate. Earlier in the day, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statnews.com\/2026\/01\/12\/nonprofit-hospitals-focus-on-basics-jpm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">health systems\u2019 presentations at the J.P.
