To kick off 2026, the Mid-City Fire Safe Councils are hosting a wildfire safety event on Wednesday, January 21, at 6 p.m. A light dinner will be provided, with the program beginning at 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Staying one step ahead of potential disaster is always a good thing, especially when fire is involved.<\/p>\n

To that end and to kick off 2026, the Mid-City Fire Safe Councils<\/a> are hosting a wildfire safety event on Wednesday, January 21, at 6 p.m. A light dinner will be provided, with the program beginning at 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Involving fire councils from Alvarado Estates, College Canyons, College East, Greater Golden Hill, Kensington, Normal Heights, Rolando Park, and Talmadge, the event will take place at the Kroc Center<\/a>, 6611 University Avenue in the Rolando Room (Building E).<\/p>\n

The event will include evacuation planning and safety presentations by San Diego Fire-Rescue<\/a>, the San Diego Community Emergency Response Team<\/a>, the Red Cross<\/a>, and neighborhood FSCs.<\/p>\n
