He is also charged with unsafe storage of a firearm, after police said they seized a firearm from his home.

The new charges require the consent of the province’s attorney general before they can be laid. In a statement, the Ministry of Justice confirmed the attorney general had approved the charges, but said it would not be providing further comment as the matter is before the courts.

After his arrest, Moore was released from custody on Dec. 18, 2025, on conditions that include a ban on publishing or posting anything on the Internet or social media, and staying outside a one-block radius of any Jewish community centre.

Richard Robertson, the director of research with the Jewish human rights organization B’Nai Brith, said he hopes the new charges will serve as a deterrent and send a clear message that there are consequences for spreading hate online.

“This is one of the first times that the wilful promotion of antisemitism charge has been laid in Canada, and it’s important because it really cuts to the heart” of the crimes Moore is accused of, Robertson said in a Tuesday interview.

Moore “weaponized his presence online in order to galvanize and encourage others, and to incite others even, to act in a hateful manner,” Robertson alleges.

Moore’s account on X is still online, although it doesn’t appear he has made any new posts since Dec. 17, 2025. Prior to that date, it contained daily posts about Jewish people, referencing conspiracy theories and questioning the Holocaust.

The account has changed the pinned post (the post that’s featured at the top of the page) to one that’s dated May 21, 2025, in which Moore claimed that “Jews have: sent legal letters threatening me; attacked my family on social media; attacked me through my business partners and regulatory body that governs my profession; had me ‘permanently banned’ on X. Do you know what they haven’t done? Proved me wrong.”

Moore used to be a real estate agent, but his registration to trade in real estate in Saskatchewan was terminated by his brokerage on May 23, 2024, the Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission said in a statement.

WATCH | Saskatoon man charged with inciting hatred:

Saskatoon man charged with inciting hatred in antisemitic posts online

Police charged Brandon Taylor Moore, 45, with publicly inciting hatred after they received a complaint.
