EXPLORE SBX CARS<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 Supercar auctions starting soon powered by Supercar Blondie\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Just how good was Tim Allen at identifying cars blindfolded?<\/p>\n When most people think of Tim Allen, they\u2019ll likely think of his movie roles, whether it\u2019s as Buzz Lightyear in the Toy Story series or as Santa Claus in the Santa Clause franchise.<\/p>\n But it turns out he\u2019s a man of hidden depths, and being a car nerd is one hidden aspect of his character.<\/p>\n Leno decided to put that to the test by placing him blindfolded inside several cars and seeing if he could figure out which was which.<\/p>\n The first car was a 1970 Mazda Cosmo, which Allen proceeded to feel.<\/p>\n \u201cI chose this car because I\u2019m pretty sure I\u2019m going to stump Tim,\u201d Leno said.<\/p>\n Once in the car, Leno took him for a drive, and Allen started throwing out some guesses.<\/p>\n He was quickly able to ascertain that it was a Japanese car based on it being a right-hand driver and the wing mirrors being \u2018up front\u2019.<\/p>\n It was time to make a guess, and he landed on a Mazda.<\/p>\n Impressive, but it was time for the second car \u2013 a 1959 Oldsmobile 88 with a 315hp V8 engine.<\/p>\n It was the same routine as before, with Allen feeling around the exterior and stepping inside for a drive.<\/p>\n He was listing the car\u2019s features with no problem \u2013 it was made by General Motors, it was from the late 50s, and it had a V8 engine.<\/p>\n He was pretty on the money this time around, being out only by a model year.<\/p>\n Two for two is impressive stuff, but would the third car be the one to catch Allen out?<\/p>\n Would Jay Leno be able to get one over on his friend?<\/p>\n On the third and final car, a 1972 Citro\u00ebn SM was up for inspection, and it was evident that Leno had a soft spot for it.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s French, it\u2019s elegant, and even though this car is over 40 years old, it still looks like the future!\u201d he said in a voiceover.<\/p>\n Allen did his usual deduction, narrowing down that it was a French car with a V6 engine from the early 1970s.<\/p>\n And he was right on the money once again.<\/p>\n Allen was in good company when it comes to celebrity car aficionados, as Leno\u2019s love of cars is legendary.<\/p>\n There\u2019s a good reason car\u00a0collection is the third most popular with Google searchers, trailing only Cristiano Ronaldo and Bill Gates<\/a>.<\/p>\n Leno\u2019s garage is home to more than 200 cars and is undeniably a treasure trove of limited cars<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\t\t\t\t\t\t# Tags –![\"Tim](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Jay-Leno-Tim-Allen-4.webp.webp\")
