\n\tKesha<\/a> was forced to postpone her show at Dallas\u2019 Dos Equis Pavilion on Tuesday night (July 8) due to the threat of severe weather. The singer made the announcement on her Instagram Story<\/a>, telling fans that her T\u2013s Out<\/a> date in the city would be pushed back by one day out of concern for their safety.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI wanted to say thank you for coming out to support an independent artist,\u201d she wrote. \u201cI have been so excited for tonight and to celebrate my freedom and go t\u2013s out with all of you, but due to the weather and what yall here in Texas have been facing, I have to put your safety first. My heart is with you Texas. I\u2019m so sorry that I can\u2019t play this show tonight because of the weather and for all of your safety.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tA severe thunderstorm warning and flash flood warnings were in effect in North Texas on Tuesday night, with heavy rains expected. The intense downpours came less than a week after a storm caused catastrophic flooding along Texas\u2019 Guadalupe River, killing at least 110 people so far \u2014\u00a0including 27 from the all-girls Christian summer camp Camp Mystic \u2014 in an area around four hours from the Dallas metro area; at press time more than 160 people were still missing in the floods.<\/p>\n

\n\tBut, due to the devastation wrought by that storm and out of an abundance of caution, Kesha said she was planning to wait 24 hours and give it another go on Wednesday night (July 9). \u201cBut I\u2019m going to stay here in your beautiful city and come back here tomorrow and would love to play for all of you tomorrow night,\u201d the singer wrote. \u201cAll of your tickets will be honored and I\u2019m so sorry. Get home safe, let\u2019s party tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe venue also announced the show postponement on Instagram, writing, \u201cYour safety is our top priority. While we had hoped we could get a show in for you tonight, mother nature had other plans. As the storm is moving through slower than anticipated and the lightning isn\u2019t letting up, we have made the decision to POSTPONE tonight\u2019s show until TOMORROW, July 9th. Hold on to your tickets as they will be honored for the new date.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAmong the many Texas families impacted by the deadly flooding<\/a> over the July 4 holiday weekend was Fort Worth native country singer Pat Green, who said on Monday that his younger brother John was swept away by the flooding, along with his wife and their two children.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe next date on Kesha\u2019s joint tour with Scissor Sisters is slated to hit the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Woodlands, TX on Thursday (July 10). <\/p>\n
