(Photo Illustration by Igor Golovniov\/SOPA Images\/LightRocket via Getty Images) <\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">Verizon customers across the U.S. reported problems with their phone service on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">Customers of other carriers, including AT&amp;T and T-Mobile, also reported issues.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> Is Verizon down?  <\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"livenowfox.com\/news\/verizon-outage-users-report-stuck-sos-mode\" origination_station=\"LNFX\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">What we know:<\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">Reports of problems <a href=\"https:\/\/downdetector.com\/status\/verizon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">began coming in to DownDetector<\/a> around 12:00 p.m. ET on January 14.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">According to DownDetector, which tracks outages, there were more than 171,000 reports of <a href=\"https:\/\/downdetector.com\/status\/verizon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Verizon outages<\/a> as of 12:30 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">Half of users were self-reporting issues with mobile signal. Other users were reporting issues with WiFi and broadband internet.<\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"livenowfox.com\/news\/verizon-outage-users-report-stuck-sos-mode\" origination_station=\"LNFX\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">What they&#8217;re saying:<\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">The company confirmed the outage on social media.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">&#8220;We are aware of an issue impacting wireless voice and data services for some customers. Our engineers are engaged and are working to identify and solve the issue quickly,&#8221; the company said on social media platform X. &#8220;We understand how important reliable connectivity is and apologize for the inconvenience.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"livenowfox.com\/news\/verizon-outage-users-report-stuck-sos-mode\" origination_station=\"LNFX\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">What we don&#8217;t know:<\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">As of 1:30 p.m. ET, it was still unclear what the issue was or what caused the outages.<\/p>\n<p> DownDetector outages <\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"livenowfox.com\/news\/verizon-outage-users-report-stuck-sos-mode\" origination_station=\"LNFX\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">Dig deeper:<\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">There were also more than 1,600 T-Mobile AT&amp;T outages reported, as well.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">Half of T-Mobile users were self-reporting issues with &#8220;no signal,&#8221; followed by issues with 5G home internet and mobile internet.
