PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 An Arizona man who was convicted of selling and operating an illegal marijuana and drug operation at his home will spend the next five years in prison.<\/p>\n
The announcement came from Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
In June 2024, investigators searched Javier Briseno\u2019s home and seized 1,232 cannabis cartridges, 5.3 pounds of marijuana, 396 packages of THC edibles, a loaded .22-caliber rifle and other evidence of drug sales. Officials did not provide a specific city or location of his home.<\/p>\n
On Feb. 10, 2025, a grand jury indicted Briseno on charges of conspiracy, illegally conducting an enterprise, possession of narcotic drugs for sale, possession of marijuana for sale and misconduct involving weapons.<\/p>\n

At the time of the crime, Briseno was on probation stemming from a 2021 conviction for attempting to possess marijuana for sale.<\/p>\n
Earlier this month, he pleaded guilty to possession of a narcotic drug for sale and misconduct involving weapons, both felonies.<\/p>\n
As part of the plea agreement, Briseno agreed to a five-year prison sentence on the drug conviction. Once released from prison, he will be on supervised probation for the weapons conviction.<\/p>\n
