{"id":519158,"date":"2026-01-16T00:52:13","date_gmt":"2026-01-16T00:52:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/519158\/"},"modified":"2026-01-16T00:52:13","modified_gmt":"2026-01-16T00:52:13","slug":"sonic-the-hedgehog-kicks-off-35th-anniversary-celebrations-in-style","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/519158\/","title":{"rendered":"Sonic The Hedgehog Kicks Off 35th Anniversary Celebrations In Style"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p>Believe it or not, <strong>Sonic the Hedgehog<\/strong> is celebrating his 35th anniversary in 2026, and Sega is clearly planning something as it dropped a nostalgia blast of a trailer celebrating the blue blur&#8217;s life and times.<\/p>\n<p>The trailer highlights the range of Sonic over the franchise&#8217;s storied history, from his pixel perfect start on the Mega Drive with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/megadrive\/sonic_the_hedgehog\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sonic the Hedgehog<\/a>, to blockbuster movies in Paramount&#8217;s Sonic the Hedgehog trilogy.<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s done everything you can think of \u2014 LEGO Sonic, the animated series <strong>Sonic X<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/minecraft\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Minecraft<\/a>, and obviously tons and tons of his own video games. We hope there might be a game announcement in there, too.<\/p>\n<p>21st June 2026 will be the official day of Sonic&#8217;s 35th anniversary, but we&#8217;re sure we&#8217;ll hear a lot about Sega&#8217;s iconic character over the coming months.<\/p>\n<p>What are you hoping for from Sonic&#8217;s 35th anniversary?
