Western Avenue. The pizzeria specializes in thin-crust pies and still has outposts in Elmwood Park, Elmhurst, and Arlington Heights.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1\">UPTOWN \u2014 Dear Flo\u2019s, a brunch spot at 1313 W. Wilson Avenue that opened in late 2024, is closed according to its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/dear_flos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instagram account<\/a>. It joins a long line of shuttered restaurants that owners Andy and Gina Kalish have started in the space. Since 2016, the couple has opened eight different restaurants on the corner of Wilson Avenue and Malden Street, including Kal\u2019ish, Longacre, and vegan Jewish deli <a href=\"https:\/\/chicago.eater.com\/2020\/1\/10\/21060611\/sam-and-gerties-worlds-first-vegan-jewish-deli-open-uptown-chicago\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sam &amp; Gertie\u2019s<\/a>. Patrons have noted that the hours of operation for the establishments were often limited and inconsistent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1\">WEST LOOP \u2014 Komo <a href=\"https:\/\/chicago.eater.com\/2022\/5\/9\/23053698\/komo-macku-chan-macku-sushi-nils-westlind-ronero\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">closed in June<\/a> to make way for chef Stephen Sandoval\u2019s upcoming <a href=\"https:\/\/chicago.eater.com\/2025\/5\/28\/24438936\/trino-latin-steakhouse-west-loop-randolph-street-diego-suenos-komo-laberinto\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Latin steakhouse<\/a> Trino. The non-traditional Japanese restaurant at 738 W. Randolph Street opened in 2021 with sushi chef Macku Chan at the helm. Prior to that, the space was home to Latin American restaurant Ronero.
