A woman, man and teenage girl were fatally shot in a home in Lakewood on Thursday. The three were believed to be family members, according to authorities. <\/p>\n
Another woman, also believed to be a relative, was detained at the scene, said Lt. Daniel Vizcarra, of the sheriff\u2019s Homicide Bureau. <\/p>\n
Authorities received a call reporting an assault with a deadly weapon in the 5800 block of Lorelei Avenue at 7:53 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff\u2019s Department. <\/p>\n
The victims \u2014 a man, woman and 17-year-old girl \u2014 suffered gunshot wounds to their upper torsos, Deputy David Yoo said. They were pronounced dead at the scene. <\/p>\n
When deputies arrived at the house, \u201cthey contacted a female who had run out of the house and immediately detained her,\u201d Vizcarra said. Inside the home they found the bodies as well as a gun.<\/p>\n
The surviving woman had not been identified as a suspect as of Thursday afternoon, but Vizcarra said, \u201cwe do not think there is an outstanding suspect\u201d or threat to the community. <\/p>\n
The names of the victims were not released pending notification of surviving family members, he said.<\/p>\n
Additional information about the circumstances surrounding their deaths was not immediately available.<\/p>\n
