{"id":519858,"date":"2026-01-16T07:46:17","date_gmt":"2026-01-16T07:46:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/519858\/"},"modified":"2026-01-16T07:46:17","modified_gmt":"2026-01-16T07:46:17","slug":"perth-and-wa-weather-bureau-forecasts-hottest-day-since-christmas-with-40-school-holiday-scorcher","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/519858\/","title":{"rendered":"Perth and WA weather: Bureau forecasts hottest day since Christmas with 40+ school holiday scorcher"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Perth is set for its hottest day since Christmas, with the city\u2019s next heatwave tipped to deliver the second 40-degree scorcher of the school holidays.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Just when parents hoped the worst of the heat was in the past, another bout of sweltering weather will hit during the summer break.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">The first day of the three-day heatwave is tipped to hit on Monday with a 35C maximum temperature before the mercury is forecast to peak at 41C on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">On Wednesday, the temperature is expected to cool only slightly to 39C before a 10C dip on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">With the minimum temperatures not expected to drop below 23C from Tuesday, it could be an uncomfortable night across the city.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">The Bureau of Meteorology defines a heatwave as three consecutive days of temperatures of 35C or higher.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">If Tuesday\u2019s forecast is realised, it will mark Perth\u2019s fourth 40C day since March.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">The sunny conditions are forecast to be similar to December 25, when Perth reached 42.1 degrees and overnight temperatures didn\u2019t drop below 24C.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Not only did Perth become the hottest place on the planet on Christmas Day, it also smashed a four-year record for the city.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/0e53618a64dd4c96835be57ba36e9444e2076e37.jpg\" alt=\"Severe heatwave conditions, in dark orange, are forecast for parts of WA on Wednesday.\" class=\"css-16r7l45-StyledImage en5ut4d0\"\/>Camera IconSevere heatwave conditions, in dark orange, are forecast for parts of WA on Wednesday.
