The popular customization platform wants your watch face to be heard as well as seen<\/p>\n

Facer has officially launched Face Chime, a new feature that adds a custom audio layer to its massive library of smartwatch<\/a> faces.<\/p>\n

Available from today on Wear OS 6 watches, the feature lets watch faces play a bespoke sound at the top of the hour. Rather than a generic system beep, designers can now integrate branded audio effects that align with the visual design\u2019s theme.<\/p>\n

To showcase the new capabilities, Facer has also released Pip-Boy 3.0, an officially licensed update to its popular \u2018Fallout\u2019 watch face. <\/p>\n

The new version features custom hourly chimes, improved animations, and expanded customization options. Facer also quietly dropped an Apple Watch Ultra<\/a> version of the Pip-Boy face alongside the update.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Facer has confirmed that Face Chime is also opt-in and adheres to your watch\u2019s system settings. So, if your device is in Do Not Disturb, Theater Mode, or Sleep Mode, the chimes will remain silent. Handy.<\/p>\n

This rollout follows a significant rebuilding period for the platform. Last year, Facer announced a major overhaul to align with Wear OS 6<\/a> and Google\u2019s new \u2018Watch Face Push\u2019 capability, following compatibility hurdles introduced by earlier platform updates.<\/p>\n

With those foundational issues resolved, the company appears to be shifting its focus back to creative features. And we\u2019d expect more to arrive throughout 2026.<\/p>\n
