It came just a month after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azfamily.com\/2025\/12\/03\/watch-first-china-airlines-flight-touches-down-sky-harbor-airport\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.azfamily.com\/2025\/12\/03\/watch-first-china-airlines-flight-touches-down-sky-harbor-airport\/\">China Airlines launched the same route<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">STARLUX Airlines will use a new-generation Airbus A350 aircraft featuring 306 seats, offering first class, business class, premium economy, and economy options, and operates three weekly departures on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Starting in March 2026, that will increase to four weekly flights, with a Saturday departure added.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"STARLUX Airlines has started non-stop flights between Taipei and Phoenix.\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/OJSNP4C3SZF6TCV2W5X6MERNJI.jpg\" width=\"980\" height=\"653\" \/>STARLUX Airlines has started non-stop flights between Taipei and Phoenix.(DUSTIN LOFTIS | The City of Phoenix)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">The nonstop flight was first announced in May 2025, and Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego says it\u2019s been a longtime coming.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">\u201cSTARLUX was the first to commit to ending Phoenix being the only major American city without non-stop service to and from Asia,\u201d Gallego said in a written statement. \u201cSTARLUX\u2019s new service between Phoenix and Taipei opens the door to expanded tourism, stronger business relationships, and new opportunities for companies looking to invest in our fast-growing and vibrant region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.skyharbor.com\/flights\/where-we-fly\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.skyharbor.com\/flights\/where-we-fly\/\">Phoenix international flights<\/a> add more than <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skyharbor.com\/media\/x3zlsf5y\/phoenix-economic-impact-report-2022.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.skyharbor.com\/media\/x3zlsf5y\/phoenix-economic-impact-report-2022.pdf\">$3 billion to the local economy each year<\/a>.
