\n\tParker recorded 31 receptions for 330 yards and four touchdowns as a redshirt sophomore at LSU this past season and will bring two years of eligibility to Ohio State. At 5-foot-11, he operated primarily out of the slot and figures to stay in that position with the Buckeyes, though they return last year’s starting slot receiver, Brandon Inniss.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tA four-star prospect ranked 330th overall<\/a> and 47th at wide receiver in the recruiting class of 2023, Parker is considered the No. 343 overall player and No. 65 wide receiver in the transfer portal by 247Sports. He played prep ball for Lovejoy High School in Lucas, Texas,\u00a0the same high school that produced current Ohio State linebacker Payton Pierce. Parker was just one grade above Pierce.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tParker is the second receiver to commit to the Buckeyes out of the transfer portal, joining former UTSA wideout Devin McCuin.<\/a>\u00a0McCuin’s speed and fluid athleticism make him a candidate for the slot position as well, but given that he played outside with the Roadrunners and Inniss and Parker have been slot receivers throughout their careers, he’s a more likely candidate to either start or provide depth at Ohio State’s Z receiver position unless there’s a plan to move Inniss outside. Incoming five-star freshman Chris Henry Jr. <\/a>might also be too good to keep off the field at an outside receiver spot.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tIf nothing else, Parker provides needed\u00a0depth and experience at the receiver position for the Buckeyes after they\u00a0lost Bryson Rodgers<\/a> (South Florida), Quincy Porter<\/a> (Notre Dame), Mylan Graham<\/a> (Notre Dame), Damarion Witten<\/a> and Bodpegn Miller\u00a0<\/a>to the transfer portal.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tOhio State is set to retain\u00a0rising junior Jeremiah Smith, the brightest star on its team, as well as Inniss and\u00a0redshirt freshmen Phillip Bell and\u00a0De’Zie Jones from its 2025 receiver room. Four-stars\u00a0Jerquaden Guilford<\/a>\u00a0and Jaeden Ricketts<\/a> and three-star Brock Boyd<\/a> join Henry as incoming freshman wide receivers\u00a0for the Buckeyes.\n<\/p>\n
