Nigerians have reacted to Kemi Badenoch\u2019s sacking of Robert Jenrick, a Conservative Party Member of Parliament in the United Kingdom, on Thursday over secretly plotting to defect to Reform UK.<\/p>\n
Badenoch, the Tory leader, claimed she had \u201cclear, irrefutable evidence\u201d that Jenrick would leave the Tories, hence stripping him of the Conservative whip and suspending his party membership.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have sacked Robert Jenrick from the Shadow Cabinet. The British publics are tired of political psychodrama, and so am I. They saw too much of it in the last government; they are seeing too much of it in this government.\u201d<\/p>\n
Reacting to the decision, Nigerians trooped to social media to pour commendations and condemnations on the 46-year-old British politician for her action.<\/p>\n
A Facebook user, Destiny Ikechukwu, said, \u201cShe sacked him when he was at the defection ground without his knowledge. Nice one, Kemi.\u201d<\/p>\n
Another Facebook user, Azi Aware said, \u201cWhile Nigerian politicians defect for a living. We lack ideology and direction.\u201d<\/p>\n
