The suspect barged into the discount store on Webster Avenue near East 168th Street in Morrisania around 2:35 p.m. Monday and started swooping up unspecified items from the shelves, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Two employees, a 22-year-old man and 24-year-old woman, tried to intervene, authorities said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
That\u2019s when the brutal thief bit the male worker on his arm and finger \u2013 and slashed the woman on her arm with a knife, cops said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The violence caused enough of a distraction to allow him to get away with his loot, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The NYPD released a photo of the robber, described male, 18 to 21 years old and last seen wearing a green sweater, khaki pants, and black sneakers.<\/p>\n

A 24-year-old woman also needed to be hospitalized after the thief slashed her on the arm, cops said. NYPD<\/p>\n
He is also seen carrying a red bag slung over his shoulder. <\/p>\n
