Nick Sirianni’s team is out of the playoffs and into an off-season filled with questions, a new offensive coordinator,<\/a> and potential trades.<\/a> After firing Kevin Patullo<\/a> on Tuesday, the Eagles<\/a>‘ search for a new playcaller has officially gotten underway, with Zac Robinson being the first candidate to interview.<\/p>\n With the process just beginning, follow along here at the Eagles Wire throughout the search for updates on this “decision” that’ll impact the future of the franchise and quarterback Jalen Hurts.<\/p>\n Brian Daboll and Mike McDaniel are among the Eagles’ top OC targets<\/p>\n The Athletic’s Dianni Rusinni reports<\/a> that Former Dolphins<\/a> head coach Mike McDaniel and former Giants<\/a> head coach Brian Daboll are at the top of the Eagles’ list of OC Candidates. Both are head coaching targets, but McDaniel is prepared to take an elite playcaller job over a mediocre head coaching job.<\/p>\n Eagles interviewed Falcons OC Zac Robinson<\/p>\n Adam Schefter reports<\/a> that Falcons offensive coordinator Zac Robinson is interviewing today in Philadelphia for the Eagles’ offensive coordinator job on Friday. Another coach off the Sean McVay or Kyle Shanahan school of thought, Robinson, might be the perfect candidate, as he was the\u00a0Los Angeles Rams<\/a>‘ passing-game coordinator and quarterbacks coach for two years before his move to Atlanta, where he helped Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts develop into an explosive offensive unit.<\/p>\n Expert NFL picks: Exclusive betting insights only at USA TODAY.<\/a><\/p>\n Kafka was once a backup quarterback for the Eagles before joining Andy Reid’s coaching staff and developing into one of the NFL’s bright young minds. Kafka started his ascent as a Northwestern University offensive graduate assistant in 2016. Kafka joined Andy Reid’s staff in 2017 as the offensive quality control coach, before being named quarterbacks coach in 2018. In 2020, he was named passing game coordinator in Kansas City before joining Brian Daboll in New York as offensive coordinator.<\/p>\n The big fish is soon to land, as the Eagles are expected to interview former Giants’ head coach Brian Daboll for their offensive coordinator position. Daboll has coached Jalen Hurts before (Alabama), and he landed the\u00a0Giants<\/a>‘\u00a0head coaching position in 2022 after four seasons in Buffalo as the\u00a0Bills<\/a>‘ offensive coordinator. Daboll has been credited with helping develop MVP quarterback Josh Allen, who struggled with accuracy when drafted out of Wyoming in 2018. In his third season as coordinator, in 2020, Daboll helped the Bills average 31.3 points per game, advance to the AFC Championship Game, and earn assistant coach of the year honors.
