Trellis Health<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis feature offers a deeply emotional and tangible way for members, and their families, to connect with their baby during pregnancy, something that has traditionally been limited to fleeting moments in a clinic or sonogram room,\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/estelle-giraud\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Estelle Giraud<\/a>, CEO and co-founder of Trellis, told The Post.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFeeling your baby\u2019s actual heartbeat, synced in real time through gentle vibrations, creates an intimate bond that helps make the pregnancy experience more real and present, especially in the early months when physical signs are subtle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Giraud said the feature offers <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/03\/28\/lifestyle\/these-winning-accessories-can-help-ease-your-new-baby-into-sleep\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cpeace of mind\u201d to parents<\/a> feeling anxious between doctor\u2019s appointments.<\/p>\n<p>The doctor sends the ultrasound to Trellis for use in the app.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.50367107;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"36488780\" width=\"887\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/happy-asian-pregnant-woman-comfortable-107907899.jpg\" alt=\"Pregnant woman using phone on sofa.\" class=\"wp-image-36488780\"  \/>\u201cThe reactions have been incredibly moving, with many partners describing it as a critical moment of connection to their baby,\u201d Estelle Giraud, CEO and co-founder of Trellis, told The Post. bongkarn \u2013 stock.adobe.com<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a haptic loop to the beat of the recorded fetal heart rate directly from the ultrasound,\u201d Giraud explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe member taps the heart icon in the individual ultrasound, and the loop will continue until deactivating with another tap.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Any ultrasound that includes a fetal heartbeat can be used \u2014 though Giraud noted that \u201cearlier in-pregnancy stage ultrasounds do not always report a fetal heartbeat, but this doesn\u2019t mean that there isn\u2019t one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The app, which launched on May 20, costs $96 a year.<\/p>\n<p>The Seattle-based health tech startup <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/trellis-health-emerges-stealth-1-130000769.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">aims to address<\/a> \u201cglaring gaps in women\u2019s health,\u201d such as high maternal mortality rates, \u201cnearly nonexistent\u201d postpartum care and an \u201coverwhelming and fragmented\u201d healthcare experience.<\/p>\n<p>The app includes a straightforward, comprehensive view of your health history, help with questions to ask the doctor and easy access to midwife support.<\/p>\n<p>Recent adopters of the heartbeat feature seem to be impressed.<\/p>\n<p>Giraud said that \u201cthe reactions have been incredibly moving,\u201d with many parents describing it \u201cas a critical moment of connection to their baby.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFamily members have also been deeply impacted, being able to hold and feel the baby\u2019s heartbeat has helped them feel more involved in the journey,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve heard everything from, \u2018I cried the first time I felt it\u2019 to \u2018It brought my partner and me closer to the pregnancy in a way we didn\u2019t expect.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"It\u2019s making waves!
