Collet-Serra helmed Netflix\u2019s second highest viewed movie of all time in \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/carry-on-2\/\" id=\"auto-tag_carry-on-2\" data-tag=\"carry-on-2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Carry-On<\/a>,\u201d starring Jason Bateman and Taron Egerton. Released in 2024, the film has been viewed 185 million times, according Netflix\u2019s data.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe first film in the new partnership is the psychological thriller \u201cAn Innocent Girl,\u201d about a young and ambitious woman seduced by a high powered D.C. couple who draw her into a dangerous world of sex, power and murder. Collet-Serra will direct and produce the project alongside Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cFrom production to release, my experience making \u2018Carry-On\u2019 with the Netflix team was everything a filmmaker could hope for,\u201d Collet-Serra told Variety. \u201cI\u2019m thrilled to call Netflix my creative home and excited to keep pushing boundaries together, beginning with \u2018An Innocent Girl.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tNetflix film vice president Doug Belgrad called Collet-Serra \u201cone of the most in-demand directors out there right now, and for good reason \u2014 he knows how to deliver big, high-stakes stories that audiences love. The fact that he chose to make this deal with us, especially after the great experience we had together on\u00a0\u2018Carry-On,\u2019 says a lot.
