The bill allocates $625M for \u201csafety and security for the 11 U.S. host cities.\u201d FIFA World Cup 2026 Houston Committee President Chris Canetti said, \u201cThis is going to have a major positive impact on our budget and how we\u2019re funding the event, and it really eases the financial pressures on the host committee.\u201d Houston will host seven matches for the 2026 World Cup and Canetti previously said that it \u201cwill cost Houston over\u201d $100M. France notes \u201csuccess in fundraising thus far\u201d is \u201calso easing the Houston host committee\u2019s financial burden.\u201d Canetti said that Houston has \u201craised the most amount of money compared to the other host cities.\u201d France notes the host committee \u201cis 70% to its fundraising goal, though it has not revealed what that goal is.\u201d Canetti said that the host committee has \u201csigned 11 partnership deals thus far.\u201d France notes that includes \u201cfive \u2018supporters\u2019 packages, the most exclusive and largest sponsorships the host committee sells,\u201d coming in at $2.5M.
