Billy Bob Thornton, who is currently starring in the Taylor Sheridan show \u201cLandman,\u201d has addressed rumors that he may be departing the show after Season 2.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Reports of his exit are \u201cAI-generated crap,\u201d Thornton, 70, told USA Today.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

The show just finished Season 2 on Jan. 18. Speculation about Thornton\u2019s departure came from a plot point where his character Norris was fired from his job as president of M-Tex Oil by the owner, Cami Miller (Demi Moore).\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s an AI report that Demi and I are a couple now, and there\u2019s one that I\u2019m leaving the show,\u201d the \u201cBad Santa\u201d actor told the outlet, in a story published Saturday. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey have nothing to do with reality.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to Thornton and Moore, the show stars Ali Larter,<\/a> Andy Garcia, Michelle Randolph<\/a> and Sam Elliott.<\/p>\n

The end of Season 2 saw Norris start on a company of his own.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The show has already been renewed for a Season 3, despite Sheridan leaving Paramount<\/a> for NBC Universal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Paramount still owns the work that Sheridan created for it, so shows such as \u201cLandman\u201d and the \u201cYellowstone\u201d spinoffs will not migrate over to NBC.\u00a0<\/p>\n

His TV deal with Paramount doesn\u2019t officially end until 2028, but his time at NBC begins with a film deal going into effect in 2026, according to the report.<\/p>\n

\u201cLandman\u201d Season 3 will shoot in the spring.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll be there,\u201d Thornton told the outlet.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been great working with Sam. And I love doing the show,\u201d the \u201cSling Blade\u201d actor added. \u201cI\u2019ll be here as long as it plays out. If it\u2019s five years, great. If it\u2019s six, I\u2019m there.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a story published Sunday, Thornton told the Hollywood Reporter<\/a>,\u00a0 \u201cI thought [Taylor Sheridan] was very smart about saying, \u2018For the second season, let\u2019s concentrate on the family. Let\u2019s show more about the executive end of the oil business with Demi\u2019s character and Tommy [my character] becoming president.\u2019 I quite enjoyed doing more character stuff that didn\u2019t involve the excitement.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked what might happen in Season 3, he replied: \u201cI don\u2019t know. If I did, I would tell you. I really don\u2019t know what\u2019s going to happen. I think maybe the actual physical danger might come back a little bit more. It feels right to me that it would. But I can\u2019t help but think that there\u2019s going to be something that happens in the family that is maybe unsettling.\u201d<\/p>\n
