{"id":528659,"date":"2026-01-20T00:53:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-20T00:53:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/528659\/"},"modified":"2026-01-20T00:53:10","modified_gmt":"2026-01-20T00:53:10","slug":"driver-injured-in-highway-crash-near-parksville-police-seek-information-nanaimonewsnow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/528659\/","title":{"rendered":"Driver injured in highway crash near Parksville, police seek information | NanaimoNewsNOW"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>He was flown to the scene for advanced medical care, with BC Emergency Health Services stating the patient was taken from the scene in critical condition. <\/p>\n<p>\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/indicator-big.gif\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>BCHP states it is looking for witnesses, noting a motorist operating a dark grey 2020 Toyota Tacoma \u201chad an interaction\u201d with the Honda Civic at highway speeds.<\/p>\n<p>The driver of the car then lost control, hitting a tree.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Tacoma driver left the area without speaking to police, but we want to give them a chance to tell their side of the story,\u201d Cpl. Michael McLaughlin of BCHP stated in a news release.<\/p>\n<p>The Tacoma was last seen proceeding north on Hwy. 19 at a high rate of speed, according to McLaughlin.<\/p>\n<p>An update from Cpl.
