More artists will be announced closer to the date of the fundraising concert, which will be held two nights prior to the Grammy Awards at the Los Angeles Convention Center.<\/p>\n<p>Lambert grew up in San Diego, while Foo Fighters\u2019 drummer Ilan Rubin is a San Diego native and 2020 Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame inductee. Last year\u2019s edition of MusiCares honored the Grateful Dead, whose co-founder \u2014 singer and guitarist Bob Weir \u2014 died on Jan. 10.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"MFhbfXMXTz\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sandiegouniontribune.com\/2025\/01\/21\/dave-matthews-norah-jones-sammy-hagar-in-lineup-for-grateful-dead-musicares-tribute-concert\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dave Matthews, Norah Jones, Sammy Hagar in lineup for Grateful Dead MusiCares tribute concert<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>MusiCares and the Grammy Awards are both presented under the auspices of the Recording Academy. In the four decades since its inception, MusiCares has raised more than $100 million to provide assistance to musicians and other music-industry workers facing financial, medical and personal hardships, including addiction recovery and disaster relief.<\/p>\n<p>In the past year alone, MusiCares provided more than $15 million in financial and medical assistance to more than 3,000 music industry professionals who were victims of the Los Angeles County wildfires. The annual all-star MusiCares fundraising concert honors artists for both their musical and philanthropic work.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMariah Carey\u2019s music has touched the hearts of millions and inspired countless artists,\u201d MusiCares Executive Director Theresa Wolters said in a statement released Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will be thrilling to hear these performers bring their own voices to her landmark songs, offering fresh interpretations that celebrate her artistry in new ways \u2014 a reminder of the power of music to connect us all. Person of the Year is more than a tribute: it\u2019s a moment for our community to come together and give back to the humans behind the music. The support raised through this gala allows us to stand with music professionals in ways that truly matter, caring for their mental and physical health, addressing unexpected challenges, and helping them build the foundation for sustainable, fulfilling careers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Those sentiments were seconded by Carey herself, who said: \u201cI\u2019m deeply honored to have these extraordinary artists come together for this evening. Their generosity, their presence, and their commitment to this moment mean more to me than I can express. Being part of this celebration in benefit of MusiCares and the support they provide to those in the music community makes this night even more special. I\u2019ve always believed that music heals, and it\u2019s meant to be shared!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Carey, Taylor Swift, Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter and Carlsbad native Alex Warren \u2014 who is a 2026 Best New Artist Grammy nominee \u2014 are among the artists who have donated items for this year\u2019s MusiCares Charity Relief Auction. Other items have been contributed by Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Billie Eilish, Shakira, Phil Collins, Cher, Slash, Coldplay, Depeche Mode, Eminem and more.
