{"id":532983,"date":"2026-01-21T20:55:23","date_gmt":"2026-01-21T20:55:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/532983\/"},"modified":"2026-01-21T20:55:23","modified_gmt":"2026-01-21T20:55:23","slug":"seahawks-rb-george-holani-designated-for-return-to-practice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/532983\/","title":{"rendered":"Seahawks RB George Holani Designated For Return To Practice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>George Holani<\/strong> has been designated for return to practice ahead of the NFC championship game, giving the Seahawks a possible addition at that position following the loss of Zach Charbonnet to a knee injury.<\/p>\n<p>Holani, who opened the season as Seattle&#8217;s No. 3 back and a key special teams player, injured his hamstring in the Seahawks&#8217; Week 12 win in Tennessee, causing him to be placed on injured reserve. Prior to that injury, Holani rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries, and had two catches for 15 yards.<\/p>\n<p>Holani also returned kickoffs, gaining 387 yards on 16 returns, and three tackles, as well as a touchdown on a recovery of a kickoff in the end zone in Seattle&#8217;s Week 2 win over the Steelers.<\/p>\n<p>If Holani is able to show enough in practice to be ready for Sunday&#8217;s NFC championship game against the Rams, that would give Seattle&#8217;s offense some needed help at running back after Charbonnet suffered a season-ending ACL injury in Saturday&#8217;s win over the 49ers.<\/p>\n<p>Asked on Monday if Holani could return this week, Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said, &#8220;George is an option.
