An Instagram video from @codynbennysjttt shows a Golden Retriever<\/a> named Benny turning his owner\u2019s home golf practice session into a full-fledged comedy bit, sitting indifferently as if he owns the place. And honestly, maybe he does.<\/p>\n

The video runs with onscreen captions from the Golden Retriever\u2019s<\/a> point of view while his owner plays golf \u2014 and Benny does not sound impressed. It begins with, \u201cWat idiot,\u201d as the owner lines up the putt. Right when he taps the ball forward, Benny waits till it reaches him, then casually leans in and stops the rolling ball with his nose.<\/p>\n

Even after the sabotage, Benny\u2019s owner rewards him with attention. The video shows the owner giving him a quick head pat while picking up the ball, as Benny stays planted and the caption reads, \u201cNot 2day big fella.\u201d Meanwhile, the owner seems fully aware that he brought this on himself as he writes in the caption, \u201cIdk why I let him practice with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Goldens love to be included in whatever their person is doing, especially when it involves a small moving object and an action that guarantees attention. So, for Benny, that golf ball probably looks less like sports equipment and more like an invitation. And of course, who cares about putting, right?<\/p>\n

Viewers had plenty to say \u2014 both to the owner and the dog. One person remarked, \u201cNeed a longer putter buddy,\u201d while another joked about Benny\u2019s casual sabotage, writing, \u201cWith friends like that.\u201d<\/p>\n

A third user called Benny, \u201cYour biggest Opp.\u201d A few commenters even treated it like a coaching session, with one writing, \u201cYou need to step back and flatten that alignment,\u201d while another insisted, \u201cAll this tells me is that you deserve a new putter.\u201d<\/p>\n

Whether or not the owner needs a bigger putter, it is clear from the video that his Golden Retriever is not just watching the golf<\/a> practice; he is running the whole thing.<\/p>\n
