Where are the best restaurants in Texas, according to a Yelp list of the 100 highest-reviewed eateries<\/a> in the United States? <\/p>\n

I\u2019ll tell you where they\u2019re not: Dallas.<\/p>\n

Yelp\u2019s 2026 list of 100 \u201cdrool-worthy, Yelper-loved places to eat\u201d includes zero in Dallas proper. That\u2019s a record-scratch moment. Perhaps it stings even more to learn that No. 2 on the list, a steakhouse called Taste of Texas, is in Houston.<\/p>\n

Open up Yelp\u2019s list, then scroll down. And down some more. There, you\u2019ll find four restaurants in Fort Worth, Carrollton, Frisco and Plano in Yelp\u2019s Top 100.<\/p>\n

Dallas-Fort Worth\u2019s top-ranking restaurant sits at No. 36. Japanese restaurant Hatsuyuki Handroll Bar<\/b> in Fort Worth is a favorite among several members of the Landman cast<\/a>, who were spotted in and around Fort Worth restaurants and bars for months<\/a> while they filmed the Paramount+ TV show. Hatsuyuki was also on Yelp\u2019s list of DFW\u2019s Top Places to Eat for 2025.<\/p>\n

Hatsuyuki Handroll Bar is at 907 Foch St., Fort Worth.<\/p>\n

Just behind it, at No. 37, comes Korean restaurant Gold Spoon<\/b> in Carrollton. It holds an impressive 4.8 stars on Yelp, with nearly 240 reviews. Gold Spoon\u2019s menu includes a seafood hot pot, Korean-style pancakes and beef bulgogi.<\/p>\n

The country\u2019s No. 49th best restaurant, Yelp said, is Hutchins BBQ<\/b> in Frisco. (This is, notably, not the original Hutchins in McKinney, but a restaurant in the neighboring suburb owned by the same side of the Hutchins family<\/a>.) One Yelper called Hutchins \u201cour favorite BBQ spot in Texas\u201d and complimented its moist brisket, creamy mac and cheese and free desserts.<\/p>\n

Hutchins BBQ is at 9225 Preston Road, Frisco.<\/p>\n

Slipping in at No. 59 is Edmond\u2019s Burgers and More<\/b>, a shop in a no-nonsense strip mall in central Plano. It didn\u2019t make The Dallas Morning News\u2019 recent list of favorite burger joints<\/a>, but it sounds like we should check it out for next time. Beyond cheeseburgers, Edmond\u2019s sells a reuben, chicken-pesto sandwich, BLT and more.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re up for a road trip, Yelp\u2019s list includes more than 15 Texas restaurants<\/a> in its Top 100.<\/p>\n
