PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 Mexican authorities are searching for a popular social media influencer from Phoenix who went missing two days ago in Sinaloa, Mexico.<\/p>\n
Nicole Pardo Molina<\/a>, also known as La Nicholette, was last seen in a residential neighborhood in Culiacan, Sinaloa, according to an alert from the Sinaloa State Attorney General\u2019s Office<\/a>.<\/p>\n The alert system is called \u201cProtocolo Alba<\/a>.\u201d It says her safety is at risk, and that she may be a crime victim.<\/p>\n Video circulating on social media appears to show masked men abducting the 20-year-old from her purple Tesla Cybertruck in Culiacan and forcing her into a white car.<\/p>\n Culiac\u00e1n is the home of the Sinaloa drug cartel and is considered one of the most dangerous cities in Mexico.<\/p>\n Pardo Molina is originally from Phoenix and is said to split her time between Sinaloa and the Valley. She previously operated a boutique at the corner of Indian School Road and 59th Avenue.<\/p>\n \u201cI passed by once and saw the business windows broken,\u201d said a woman who works in the plaza and wanted to remain anonymous. \u201cAfter the windows were broken, she closed her business.\u201d<\/p>\n The Mexican American influencer has a large following on social media platforms, posting content about her lifestyle.<\/p>\n In 2023, a Mexican band named Grupo Arriesgado released a song <\/a>about La Nicholette called \u201cLa Muchacha del Salado,\u201d or \u201cThe Lady from El Salado.\u201d It is a corrido, a type of song where historical events, social analysis, and drug cartels are common themes.<\/p>\n \u201cThe corrido literally says that she\u2019s connected to them, but I don\u2019t know,\u201d said the plaza worker.<\/p>\n The song recounts that Pardo Molina is \u201cworking and risking it in Phoenix.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s something really bad because I have daughters and I think about my daughters,\u201d said the plaza worker. \u201cShe was very young for this to have happened to her, but I don\u2019t know if she was involved in criminal activity.\u201d<\/p>\n Arizona\u2019s Family contacted the Arizona Attorney General\u2019s Office<\/a> for comment about whether they are communicating with Mexican authorities on this case, and is awaiting a response.<\/p>\n See a spelling or grammatical error in our story?
