Of those, fires near Wandering, Bannister and Boddington, about 160km south of Perth, remain the most concerning, with emergency warnings in place for all three.<\/p>\n
A string of other warnings remain in place<\/a> around those fire zones and in other areas of the state.<\/p>\n Major highways also remain closed due to the fire risk, with Albany Highway closed between Jarrahdale and Williams, and South Coast Highway between Jerramungup and Ravensthorpe.<\/p>\n Albany Highway is closed in both directions from Jarrahdale to Williams due to the bushfire. (ABC Great Southern: Rosemary Murphy)<\/p>\n Emergency information<\/p>\n Department of Fire and Emergency Services Superintendent Luke Mitchinson said the fires continued to have a significant impact amid challenging conditions.<\/p>\n Crews were still assessing the extent of the damage but he said there were no confirmed reports of property losses.<\/p>\n “Some of these fires within the overall incident did enter property, and there was significant areas of dwellings that were impacted by the fire,” Superintendent Mitchinson said.<\/p>\n “We haven’t had any reported, or confirmed reports, of damage to infrastructure at this stage.”<\/p>\n The fires near Boddington and Wandering have forced the closure of Albany Highway.
