The pair have been close throughout their careers and have shared plenty of time together both on and off the course.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking with Today\u2019s Golfer, Johnson was asked what he made of Koepka\u2019s decision to leave LIV Golf behind.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson replied: \u201cLook, Brooks is doing whatever he thinks is best for him. I haven\u2019t really talked to him that much \u2013 seen him back home at practice, we played a little bit. Just haven\u2019t talked about why or what he did it for. I can\u2019t really comment on him. You\u2019d have to ask him that.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t really care one way or the other. Brooks can do whatever he thinks is best. Whether he plays on LIV or anywhere else, happy for him. Doesn\u2019t matter. Doesn\u2019t hurt us or not hurt us, I don\u2019t think.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>LIV\u2019s future: What the next decade might hold<\/p>\n<p>While Johnson may not agree, there\u2019s a case to be made that Koepka\u2019s departure is a real setback for LIV.<\/p>\n<p>But the real turning point could come if Bryson DeChambeau or Jon Rahm ever choose to leave as well.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, they\u2019ve built serious momentum and look stronger than ever.<\/p>\n<p>LIV needs to land a headline signing of their own if they want to swing some momentum back in their favour.
