See if you\u2019re affected."},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"ZDBBF34KEJBGBOOWETPQ2ZOKOY\">People insured through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.horizonnjhealth.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.horizonnjhealth.com\/\">Horizon NJ Health<\/a> will no longer be able to get their prescriptions at CVS Pharmacy locations, unless they are willing to pay full price. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"NRJIZ6HRTFELXJRKXVS4IWE56U\">Effective April 30, CVS will be considered an out-of-network pharmacy for Horizon NJ Health, a subsidiary of Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey. The company serves more than 800,000 publicly insured children and adults in the Medicaid and NJ FamilyCare programs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"O656RA7FBNBIJP645JUFOGBDAA\">The change is a result of disagreements over pricing. Horizon claims CVS was demanding a substantial increase in the cost of prescription drugs, but the drugstore disputes that.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"X6YDOSGQ3VGRLPVY5H2GVHMOR4\">\u201cCVS Pharmacy submitted a proposal that was equitable and competitive with other New Jersey Medicaid plans, but Horizon rejected it and demanded rates that are unsustainable for our pharmacy business,\u201d according to a CVS statement. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"RK6YSHYKNRGHZK7MXECJWUHZRE\">A Horizon spokesman said Friday that \u201cCVS refused to negotiate a fair price and chose instead to leave our Medicaid pharmacy network.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"XHEMTII6CNDH3LKWSLVMP54HQY\">The move does not affect Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey\u2019s commercial medical plans. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"QYHJIDU42BHFJL72PLTYECEDHI\">CVS remains in-network with the state\u2019s other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nj.gov\/humanservices\/dmahs\/info\/resources\/care\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.nj.gov\/humanservices\/dmahs\/info\/resources\/care\/\">managed care health plans<\/a>.
