{"id":539318,"date":"2026-01-24T11:23:11","date_gmt":"2026-01-24T11:23:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/539318\/"},"modified":"2026-01-24T11:23:11","modified_gmt":"2026-01-24T11:23:11","slug":"the-clemson-insider-14","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/539318\/","title":{"rendered":"The Clemson Insider"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CLEMSON \u2014 It did not take the NCAA long to respond to Clemson\u2019s claims on Friday that Ole Miss was \u201d\u00a0blatantly\u201d tampering with linebacker Luke Ferrelli.<\/p>\n<p>Swinney and athletic director Graham Neff met with the media Friday at the Smart Family Media Center and announced they turned head coach Pete Golding and the Rebels in to the NCAA for possible violations. Clemson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theclemsoninsider.com\/2026\/01\/23\/swinney-brings-out-receipts-on-whole-other-level-of-tampering\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">accused Ole Miss of tampering with the linebacker<\/a>, who was not in the transfer portal and was enrolled at Clemson and attending classes and team activities when the Rebels made contact. <\/p>\n<p>The NCAA responded Friday night to Clemson\u2019s allegations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe NCAA will investigate any credible allegations of tampering and expect full cooperation from all involved as is required by NCAA rules,\u201d NCAA Vice President of enforcement Jon Duncan said in a statement. \u201cThe NCAA will investigate any credible allegations of tampering and expect full cooperation from all involved as is required by NCAA rules. We will not comment further on any ongoing investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In his press conference, Swinney attempted to provide clarity and context as to what happened with the Ferrelli situation.
