Dallas rapper Yella Beezy<\/a>\u2019s capital murder trial has been postponed until Aug. 24, court records show. <\/p>\n

Beezy, whose real name is Markies Conway, had been scheduled to stand trial on Feb. 2 for the shooting death<\/a> of Melvin Noble. Noble, a fellow North Texas rapper known as MO3, was gunned down on Interstate 35E in Dallas in 2020. <\/p>\n

A grand jury accused Conway in 2025 of hiring and paying two men, Kewon Dontrell White and Devin Maurice Brown, to kill Noble. Conway and Noble had allegedly feuded<\/a> before the shooting. <\/p>\n

Conway\u2019s attorneys, John Gussio and Toby Shook, filed a motion on Jan. 12 to postpone the trial, writing that they needed more time to review discovery material and to investigate potential witnesses. Judge Chika Anyiam of Criminal District Court No. 7 granted the motion. <\/p>\n

Both White and Brown also face a capital murder charge. White\u2019s trial was rescheduled from Feb. 2 to Aug. 24, the same date as Conway\u2019s, after White\u2019s attorney, Bree West, submitted a motion that said material preparation could not \u201creasonably be completed\u201d in time. <\/p>\n

Brown\u2019s lawyer, Elaine Evans, has made a similar appeal to move back his Feb. 2 trial. Evans cited roughly \u201c1,311 items of digital media evidence\u201d in addition to forthcoming discovery in her motion. It has not been granted, per online records. <\/p>\n

Brown and White were previously scheduled to stand trial in November, but those proceedings were postponed after their lawyers asked for a delay. <\/p>\n
