{"id":53966,"date":"2025-07-10T11:19:10","date_gmt":"2025-07-10T11:19:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/53966\/"},"modified":"2025-07-10T11:19:10","modified_gmt":"2025-07-10T11:19:10","slug":"emergency-blood-drive-planned-in-san-antonio-to-help-hill-country-flood-victims","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/53966\/","title":{"rendered":"Emergency blood drive planned in San Antonio to help Hill Country flood victims"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\"><strong>SAN ANTONIO<\/strong> \u2013 The Alamo Area Council of Governments (AACOG) is teaming up with the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center (STBTC) to host an emergency blood drive on Friday in an effort to help the victims of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ksat.com\/topic\/Hill_Country_Floods\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.ksat.com\/topic\/Hill_Country_Floods\/\">Hill Country Floods<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ksat.com\/news\/local\/2025\/07\/09\/kerr-county-officials-to-give-update-on-continued-recovery-efforts-after-hill-country-flooding\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.ksat.com\/news\/local\/2025\/07\/09\/kerr-county-officials-to-give-update-on-continued-recovery-efforts-after-hill-country-flooding\/\">More than one hundred deaths have occurred across the state as a result<\/a> of severe flash flooding from the Fourth of July weekend. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">At least 173 people are currently known to be missing in Texas, according to the latest figures.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The emergency blood drive will be held on the first floor of the AACOG Tower Building on July 11 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The AACOG Tower Building is at the 2700 block of NE Loop 410 near Perrin Beitel.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">According to a press release, interested donors can head to Room 134 (the San Antonio Room) on the first floor.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">\u201cFor those who are searching for a way to help our friends during this time of urgent need, the donation of precious blood is critical and truly lifesaving.
