We understand that every decision we make impacts 1\/5 of the state economy and every community across all 67 counties.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The market is stabilizing after the white-hot pandemic years. \u201cWe were really a white-hot real estate market coming out of COVID-19,\u201d Weisheyer notes. \u201cThere was a major influx of people moving into our state that drove up sales and home prices.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Key market characteristics: <\/p>\n<ul class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 kDvXdO font_openSans articleList\">\n<li class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__StackBase-sc-1fnzlkn-7 ecGWWE iQviKm\">\n<p>Single-family home prices have leveled off<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__StackBase-sc-1fnzlkn-7 ecGWWE iQviKm\">\n<p>Approximately 5.5 months of inventory for single-family homes<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__StackBase-sc-1fnzlkn-7 ecGWWE iQviKm\">\n<p>Condominium market experiencing strategic adjustments<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">\u201cBuyers right now are in one of the best positions they\u2019ve been in in the last handful of years,\u201d Weisheyer emphasizes. \u201cThere\u2019s enough inventory to where a buyer gets to pick and choose what home they really want.\u201d Legislative Innovations Recent reforms, particularly in the condominium sector, have introduced new transparency measures. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">\u201cWe were successful in getting an additional layer of transparency,\u201d Weisheyer says. \u201cIt ensures that condo associations provide meeting documents and finances to home buyers early in the process.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Weisheyer\u2019s advice is direct: \u201cDon\u2019t think you should wait, because waiting always ends up costing you money. Home prices are not going to come down.\u201d Hurricane Preparedness With Florida\u2019s unique environmental challenges, preparation is key. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">\u201cWe understand that if we have to pay for storm damages after the fact, it\u2019s more costly and disruptive,\u201d he explains. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">\u201cMarry the home and date the rate,\u201d Weisheyer advises. \u201cPick the home and live in it.
