Hannah Fackler said sledding is her daughter\u2019s favorite thing.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe saw the big kids sledding, and we had to run over to the hardware store and get her a sled, and now every time it snows, we\u2019re out here,\u201d she said. \u201cWe\u2019re going to have to drag her out of here when her face just starts getting too red.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Fackler fam was far from alone.<\/p>\n
Aaron and Teo decided to pivot to selling hot chocolate instead of shoveling stoops in Brooklyn. LP Media for NY Post<\/p>\n
Nearby, Tait Foster, 39, and his daughter Georgia, 4, were racing their sled against fellow dad Artis and his 4-year-old Annabelle.<\/p>\n
\u201cMost of these kids go to school together, and they\u2019ll be out here all day. I\u2019ll have to drag Georgia out of here,\u201d he said, lamenting not wearing thermals in the chilly weather.<\/p>\n
While New York City public school kids faced the prospect of a remote learning day Monday, Park Slope mom Stacey Gomez, 46, predicted a snow day for her two youngsters who go to private school.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would be annoyed and really upset if my kids didn\u2019t get a snow day tomorrow. It\u2019s hard on working parents,\u201d she said. \u201cBut this is just heaven.\u201d<\/p>\n
But not all kids found the wintry weather tempting.<\/p>\n
Gaby Marraro, 30, a mom and Brooklyn software engineer, said her 10- and 14-year-old kids did not want to come out in the snow.<\/p>\n
The same couldn\u2019t be said for Marraro\u2019s mutt Goose. <\/p>\n
Not everyone bundled up \u2014 Adam Perez wore shorts: \u201cI never wear pants.\u201d LP Media for NY Post<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t think I could have kept this dog out of the park today,\u201d she said. \u201cLook around \u2014 it\u2019s a dog wonderland, everyone is happy to be here today! This is a fantastic winter wonderland.\u201d<\/p>\n
James Ekenstedt, 32, and his fianc\u00e9e Anna Stratton-Brook, 32, bundled their 7-year-old Chihuahua mix Mika in boots and a coat to brave the cold.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe snow is very fluffy and, yeah, it\u2019s just kind of perfect,\u201d Ekenstedt said.<\/p>\n

Stratton-Brook added, \u201cExcept for the wind! <\/p>\n
\u201cThe wind is really tough.\u201d<\/p>\n
Most parkgoers, human and canine alike, bundled up for the bone-chilling cold and sometimes-blinding snow \u2014 but not Adam Perez.<\/p>\n
Perez, 32, a software engineer from Crown Heights, wore shorts as he hoofed it to the park with his girlfriend Annie Huryk, 29, an art therapist, in hopes of building a snowman.<\/p>\n
