She eventually stopped in the right lane just before the Greenway Road on-ramp, still facing the wrong way, court paperwork said.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Ida Usanase Kamali was booked into jail on an aggravated DUI\/wrong-way driving felony and a...\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/SJW4MZGRVNDVZAGP2BAY4P4ZX4.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>Ida Usanase Kamali was booked into jail on an aggravated DUI\/wrong-way driving felony and a misdemeanor of endangerment.(Arizona Department of Transportation\/Maricopa County Sheriff&#8217;s Office)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">As a trooper in a marked car approached, DPS said Kamali made a U-turn and started going south in the southbound lanes. She eventually pulled over behind a dark SUV that was already off to the right. Both had left side damage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">When asked why she pulled over, court paperwork said Kamali pointed to the car\u2019s damage. DPS said she admitted to driving the wrong way, but blamed it on her GPS. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Court documents said she admitted to having three shots the night before and was coming from Scottsdale while trying to take her friend home.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Kamali said she made the U-turn when she realized she couldn\u2019t go that way because she was driving the wrong way, DPS said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Court paperwork said there was evidence she was drunk, and a breath test revealed her BAC was 0.103.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">She was arrested and booked into jail on an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azleg.gov\/ars\/28\/01383.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.azleg.gov\/ars\/28\/01383.htm\">aggravated DUI\/wrong-way driving felony<\/a> and a misdemeanor of endangerment.
