King Charles<\/strong><\/a> is reportedly considering opening up his home at Balmoral Castle to Prince Harry<\/strong><\/a> and Meghan Markle<\/strong> in an attempt to mend their relationship, Rob Shuter<\/strong> reported in his Naughty But Nice Substack<\/a> on Saturday, January 24..<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is Charles\u2019 most personal residence,\u201d a palace source told Shuter. \u201cOffering Harry and Meghan time at Balmoral is an enormous gesture. It signals trust, forgiveness, and a genuine desire to heal.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source clarified that Charles, 77, doesn\u2019t plan on transferring ownership to Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, but that the couple would be invited to stay there on select occasions.<\/p>\n

However, not everyone is on board with the idea<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWilliam is strongly opposed,\u201d a separate source said. \u201cHe believes it\u2019s too much, too soon \u2014 and fears it could reopen wounds that have barely begun to heal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Charles is reportedly standing firm, though.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe knows time is precious,\u201d the source added. \u201cThis is about family, not protocol.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, rumors swirled that His Majesty was considering offering an olive branch to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex by allowing them to stay at Highgrove House, a private country retreat in Gloucestershire.<\/p>\n

The Express<\/a>, which reported the news on January 13, also stated that Harry and Meghan \u2014 who share son Archie, 6, and daughter Lilibet, 4 \u2014 might have plans to return to the UK later this summer for an Invictus Games event in Birmingham.<\/p>\n
