We recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.androidauthority.com\/google-personal-safety-app-expressive-design-teardown-3572675\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gave you an early look<\/a> at some of the design changes coming to the app\u2019s Emergency contacts menu. We\u2019ve now spotted the revamped Medical information and Emergency SOS menus in the latest release.<\/p>\n<p> You&#8217;re reading an <strong>Authority Insights<\/strong> story on Android Authority. However, it is possible that such predicted features may not make it to a public release.<\/p>\n<p>Personal Safety version 2025.06.26.776057895.0-release brings a fresh look for the app\u2019s Medical information and Emergency SOS menus. The updated design is consistent with Material 3 Expressive revamp of Android\u2019s Settings app, and adds a background to menu items with rounded corners, pill-shaped buttons, new icons, updated toggles, and fresh graphics.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"e_4g\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  title=\"Personal Safety Medical information menu current\"  alt=\"Personal Safety Medical information menu current\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Personal-Safety-Medical-information-menu-current.jpg\"\/>Current<img class=\"e_4g\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  title=\"Personal Safety Medical information menu Material 3 Expressive\"  alt=\"Personal Safety Medical information menu Material 3 Expressive\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Personal-Safety-Medical-information-menu-Material-3-Expressive.jpg\"\/>New<\/p>\n<p>As shown in the attached screenshots, the Medical information menu now features bold text at the top, followed by a section containing the menu items on a lighter background. The \u201cMore\u201d button with the arrow icon has been replaced with a pill-shaped button with a three-dot icon. Google has also removed the box around the alert at the bottom, and the \u201cChange setting\u201d option is now underlined.<\/p>\n<p>The Emergency SOS menu also features a bold heading, followed by a new illustration. The settings cog next to the \u201cTouch &amp; hold to start emergency actions\u201d option has been replaced by a \u201cChange settings\u201d option, and the \u201cTry a demo\u201d button now features a new icon. The Emergency actions menu items have received a contrasting background, and their toggles now show a checkmark when enabled or a cross when the feature is turned off. The back arrow in the top-left corner of both the updated pages now also features a circular background.<\/p>\n<p>These changes are not live for users in the latest Personal Safety release, but could roll out soon.
