The crash happened on Loop 1604 southbound at Old Pearsall Road<\/p>\n
SAN ANTONIO<\/strong> \u2013 A Southwest Independent School District (SWISD) bus crashed early Tuesday morning with 33 students on board, according to the district. <\/p>\n The crash happened around 8 a.m. Tuesday on Loop 1604 southbound at Old Pearsall Road. <\/p>\n The San Antonio Fire Department said the bus driver and three students were taken to a local hospital for further treatment. <\/p>\n The bus driver was the only person who \u201crequired urgent transport,\u201d SAFD said. <\/p>\n None of the students were seriously injured, a SWISD spokesperson told KSAT. Several students received treatment on the scene. <\/p>\n The students are enrolled at Southwest Legacy High School. <\/p>\n Two southbound lanes on Loop 1604 were closed due to the crash, but the lanes have since reopened, the Texas Department of Transportation\u2019s website shows. <\/p>\n It\u2019s currently unclear what caused the bus to crash or whether another vehicle was involved.<\/p>\n Read also<\/b><\/p>\n Copyright 2026 by KSAT – All rights reserved.<\/p>\n About the Authors<\/p>\n Spencer Heath is a Digital Journalist at KSAT.
