There was a lot to applaud as Las Patronas<\/a>\u00a0handed out their major beneficiary checks \u2014\u00a0to the tune of $200,000-plus.<\/p>\n

Among this\u00a0year\u2019s\u00a0beneficiaries were Camp Stevens, the Fleet Science Center,\u00a0and the San Diego Youth Symphony.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The\u00a0venue for the luncheon was The Marine\u00a0Room,\u00a0which created quite a splashy\u00a0backdrop for\u00a0executive chef\u00a0Ananda\u00a0Bare\u00f1o\u2019s\u00a0cuisine. <\/p>\n

Looking forward to Las Patronas\u2019 \u00a080th\u00a0Jewel Ball fundraiser in August with Jewel Ball chair Jenny McGowan\u00a0steering the ship, or should I say the gondola, for Festa di Venezia<\/a>!\u00a0<\/p>\n
