Payment at parking meters will remain in effect throughout the city.<\/p>\n<p>That will make seven straight days of suspended alternate side parking. For those curious, <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.nytimes.com\/cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com\/2011\/01\/07\/a-couple-of-weeks-without-parking-rules-try-a-couple-months\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">three straight snow storms in 1978<\/a> led to canceled parking rules for 62 days in a row.<\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnewyork.com\/tag\/storm-team-4\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">winter storm<\/a> pummeled the tri-state area Sunday into Monday, dumping snow and freezing precipitation.
