Locals looking for inspiration for where to have their next date night in the Alamo City don’t have to look far: Online reservation platform OpenTable has spotlighted several San Antonio restaurants in its newly updated lists of the most romantic restaurants.<\/p>\n

For the second year<\/a> in a row, Bohanan’s Prime Steaks and Seafood<\/strong><\/strong> has charmed its way into OpenTable’s 2026 list<\/a> of the top 100 most romantic restaurants in America. Bohanan’s was one of five total Texas eateries that made this year’s list, and it was the only San Antonio entry.<\/p>\n

The list was compiled using more than nine million restaurant reviews on OpenTable from December 1, 2024 to November 30, 2025. Restaurants were evaluated based on six metrics, including diner ratings, the percentage of reservations made in advance, and more. Qualified restaurants were not given a score; they were instead ranked by the percentage of reviews that included the tag \u201cromantic.”<\/p>\n

Owner and chef Mark Bohanan is renowned for his custom cuts of Akaushi bone-in steaks, and reviewers also rave about specialty menu offerings like the French-grilled oysters, escargot, char-grilled jumbo shrimp, mesquite grilled quail, and more.<\/p>\n

One reviewer said their experience at the steakhouse was “outstanding” thanks to the courteous staff, Chef Bohanan’s attentiveness, and the high quality menu offerings.<\/p>\n

“I really liked that after I checked in on the ground floor and went upstairs, the staff greeted me by name,” the reviewer wrote. “The wine list is extensive, maybe a bit pricier than I have seen elsewhere but still in the usual markup range. The side dishes are out of the ordinary. The escargot topped with melted cheese was a delicious change from the typical garlic butter. I was a single diner at the bar, which can be a lonely experience. The staff made me feel very welcome and I had a nice conversation with the owner\/chef.”<\/p>\n
