Photo by Lisa Kava.<\/p>\n<p><strong>By Lisa Kava and Natalie Demaree<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/view\/lilysroasters-freecoffee\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Lily\u2019s Roasters<\/b><\/a>, a coffee shop, is planning to open this spring at 107 West 86th Street\u00a0 (between Columbus and Amsterdam avenues). It is owned by married couple Bessi and Ariana, who have been in the restaurant industry for over 10 years. This will be their first coffee shop. \u201cHospitality has always been a big part of our lives and opening a neighborhood cafe is something we\u2019ve talked about for a long time,\u201d Ariana wrote to West Side Rag.\u00a0 \u201cWe\u2019re excited to create a cozy neighborhood spot where people can enjoy great coffee and feel at home.\u201d Along with freshly roasted, small-batch coffee, the shop will also serve croissants and pastries. The planned hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday. The owners chose the name Lily \u201cbecause it feels warm and happy, and it reminds us of blooming flowers and fresh beginnings,\u201d Ariana wrote noting that it is also her mother-in-law\u2019s name.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westsiderag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Healthyholic.NAtalie-scaled.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-99707\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Healthyholic.NAtalie-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\"  \/><\/a>Healthyholic\u2019s UWS hub has closed, but the company will continue to serve the neighborhood. Photo by Natalie Demaree.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/healthyholic.com\/?srsltid=AfmBOorCVJQ0pS5bp0gMBltbo2IKlFB0wOn9aX7_2lXIF7pad1pmSeux\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Healthyholic Kitchen<\/a>,<\/strong> a healthy meal plan service founded by husband and wife Jose Rodriguez and Daniela Padilla, closed their location at 2801 Broadway (between West 108th and West 109th streets), in November. However, the Upper West Side remains a service area,\u00a0 and customers may order meals for delivery online via the website, Padilla told West Side Rag in an email. Healthyholic, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westsiderag.com\/2024\/05\/08\/openings-kossars-healthyholic-kitchen-cvs-casasalvo-wthn#:~:text=Healthyholic%20meals%20are%20prepared%20by,to%20Tracy%20for%20the%20tip\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">opened<\/a> the UWS location in June 2024, serves pre-packaged meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with the goal of providing healthy food for people who do not wish to or have time to cook. Meals are prepared by a team of cooks at a hub kitchen in the Bronx. The company\u2019s\u00a0 three other locations (Bronx, Yonkers, and Englewood, N.J.), will remain open.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westsiderag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/pilates-addiction.lisa_-scaled.jpeg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-99711\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/pilates-addiction.lisa_-1024x576.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\"  \/><\/a>A Pilates studio is coming to West 72nd Street. Photo by Lisa Kava.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/pilatesaddiction.com\/presale\/upper-west-side\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pilates Addiction<\/a>,<\/strong> a Pilates studio, is coming to 117 West 72nd Street (between Columbus and Amsterdam avenues). It was <a href=\"https:\/\/frannet.com\/franchise-directory\/pilates-addiction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">founded in <\/a>Los Angeles in 2022 as a franchise opportunity, and <a href=\"https:\/\/athletechnews.com\/pilates-addiction-launch-sarah-luna-ceo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">opened i<\/a>ts first studio there in May 2025. The company now has <a href=\"https:\/\/pilatesaddiction.com\/location-search\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">numerous franchises<\/a> in multiple states. The Upper West location and a planned Upper East Side location will be the first ones in New York. Pilates Addiction utilizes an apparatus called the \u201cWundaFormer\u201d which according to the website \u201ccombines the reformer, wunda chair, ballet bar and jump board into one patented machine.\u201d The company has not yet responded to West Side Rag\u2019s outreach, but we will update when we have an expected opening date.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westsiderag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/HEarUSA.Natailie-scaled.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-99708\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/HEarUSA.Natailie-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\"  \/><\/a>HearUSA, closed since last February, should reopen soon. Photo by Natalie Demaree.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hearusa.com\/hearing-centers\/details\/us\/10025\/new-york\/hearusa-upper-west-side\/42030\/?utm_source=google&amp;utm_medium=organic&amp;utm_campaign=businessprofile&amp;utm_content=hearusa-upper-west-side-website-42030\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HearUSA<\/a><\/strong>, a hearing aid center, will reopen within the next few months at 2825 Broadway (between West 108th Street and West 109th Street), a company spokesperson wrote to the Rag in an email. The location has been temporarily closed since February 2025 due to lack of provider coverage, according to the spokesperson.\u00a0 \u201cCurrently we have an apprentice waiting to take her state licensure exam and she\u2019ll move to the Upper West location after successful completion,\u201d the spokesperson wrote. Signage on the door says\u00a0 \u201cWe appreciate your understanding and patience during this transition,\u201d There are four other HearUSA locations in Manhattan, with the nearest one at 1212 Fifth Avenue on the Upper East Side.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westsiderag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Nightingale-eye.Lisa_-scaled.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-99710\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Nightingale-eye.Lisa_-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\"  \/><\/a>Nightingale Eye Associates has moved from Central Park West to larger headquarters on Broadway. Photo by Lisa Kava.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nightingale-eyes.com\/locations\/nightingale-eye-associates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nightingale Eye Associates<\/a>,<\/strong> an ophthalmologists group providing comprehensive eye care, moved from 211 Central Park West (at West 81st Street), to 1776 Broadway (at West 57th Street), in December.
