Old Town Katy has become a go\u2011to for neighbors who want thoughtful, scratch cooking and a friendly vibe<\/b><\/p>\n

Chef Lori Pope of Harvest Kitchen & Bakery<\/a> brings a lifetime of serving others \u2014 she says she began cooking at age 5 while growing up with missionary parents in Mexico \u2014 and that spirit shows in her menu. <\/p>\n

Humble Grounds Coffeehouse<\/a> keeps things local from bean to cup. Their Brown Sugar Whipped Espresso is a cooling pick\u2011me\u2011up, and the roastery (by \u201cMr. Humble Grounds\u201d himself) handles in\u2011house roasting.<\/p>\n

For a savory fix try The Rob \u2014 an everything bagel topped with avocado, feta, hot sauce and bacon \u2014 or the Best of Katy breakfast tacos, with either bacon, roasted potato, or wagyu beef chorizo (locally sourced).<\/p>\n

Sweet finish at Southern Dough<\/b> <\/p>\n

Southern Dough Baking Company <\/a>serves comfort classics and inventive daily specials. Their honey buttermilk chicken salad and the fan\u2011favorite chicken spaghetti casserole are musts when available. <\/p>\n
