When romance is on the table, six Arizona restaurants set the mood better than most, including one Scottsdale fine dining destination that took the No. 1 spot in a list ranked by Yelp Elite reviewers.<\/p>\n<p>In Yelp\u2019s nationwide ranking of the <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yelp.com\/collection\/mNKGWvlDd-XNeCpv7uHl0Q\/Top-100-romantic-restaurants-in-the-US-according-to-Elites\">Top 100 romantic restaurants in the U.S.<\/a>, Cafe Monarch, the upscale eatery in Old Town Scottsdale, earned first place. Downtown Phoenix\u2019s Cibo Pizzeria quickly followed at No. 3. For this list, the online review site ranked places based on the volume and ratings from its Yelp Elite Squad members, limiting each state to 15 restaurants total.<\/p>\n<p>Yelpers gave high marks to Arizona restaurants exuding sultry ambiance, awe-inducing views and indulgent dishes, just in time for Valentine\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n<p>The most romantic restaurants in Phoenix<\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 1: Cafe Monarch<\/strong><br \/><strong>6939 E. First Ave., Scottsdale<\/strong><br \/><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cafemonarch.com\/\">Cafe Monarch<\/a> impressed Yelp reviewers more than any other place in the country. They applauded the restaurant\u2019s refined setting, thoughtful service and prix fixe format made for special occasions. The \u201copulent ambiance and the artfully presented, seasonal dishes\u201d wowed Yelpers. They aren\u2019t the only ones swooning over Cafe Monarch\u2019s romantic vibe. OpenTable named the Old Town Scottsdale restaurant its <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opentable.com\/c\/top-restaurants\/top-100-romantic\/\">most romantic restaurant<\/a> in Arizona in a recently released list.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"1024\" width=\"830\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/image-26-09-22-02-04-1.webp.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-40027713\"  \/>Nestled in a charming central Phoenix neighborhood, this 1913 bungalow has been home to Cibo since 2005.<\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 3: Cibo Pizzeria<br \/>603 N. Fifth Ave<\/strong>. <br \/><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cibophoenix.com\/\">Cibo Pizzeria,<\/a> a Neapolitan-style restaurant in downtown Phoenix, snagged the third spot on the Yelp list. This restaurant is more relaxed but still sets the right mood with twinkling lights strung across its idyllic patio. In addition to well-crafted pies, diners can sample other casual Italian dishes and should expect \u201cfriendly service and authentic flavors,\u201d the Yelp entry said. New Times agrees and has included Cibo on its list of <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.phoenixnewtimes.com\/food-drink\/impress-your-date-with-these-romantic-phoenix-restaurants-16007502\/\">restaurants to impress a date<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 14: Dahl &amp; DiLuca Ristorante Italiano<\/strong><br \/><strong>2321 AZ-89A, Sedona<\/strong><br \/>Chef Lisa Dahl\u2019s Sedona restaurant, <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dahlanddiluca.com\/\">Dahl &amp; DiLuca Ristorante Italiano<\/a>, edged into the top 20. Dahl and her kitchen serve fresh pastas, grilled meats and decadent desserts. With the red rocks of the mystical northern Arizona town as the backdrop, it was hard for Yelpers not to fall in love.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"671\" width=\"1024\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/hermosa_lons_patiodinner.webp.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-40092918\"  \/>The patio at Lon\u2019s at the Hermosa Inn has views for days \u2014 and nights.<\/p>\n<p>Lon\u2019s at the Hermosa Inn<\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 83: Lon\u2019s at the Hermosa Inn<br \/>5532 N. Palo Cristi Road, Paradise Valley<\/strong><br \/><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/azhideawaycollection.com\/hermosa-inn\/lons\/\">Lon\u2019s at the Hermosa Inn<\/a> is a classic Paradise Valley resort destination. The restaurant offers \u201cSouthwestern fine dining with adobe-chic elegance and stunning desert views,\u201d Yelp said. In 2022, New Times named Lon\u2019s its <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.phoenixnewtimes.com\/best-of-phoenix\/2022\/food-and-drink\/best-romantic-restaurant-14545671\">Best Romantic Restaurant<\/a> because of its magical patio setting among mesquite trees, candlelight and a crackling fireplace. <\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 85: A Different Pointe of View<\/strong><br \/><strong>11111 N. Seventh St.<br \/><\/strong>The next Valley restaurant to get its flowers from Yelp is <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/tapatiocliffshilton.com\/dining\/different-pointe-of-view\/\">Different Pointe of View<\/a>. The Phoenix restaurant is situated at the Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs Resort, offering sweeping views of cotton-candy sunsets. Those pair well with the restaurant\u2019s luxe American menu of steaks and seafood.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"683\" width=\"1024\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/newtimes-pumpkin-013.webp.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-40262129\"  \/>The Mission in Old Town Scottsdale is a Valley dining mainstay. <\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 92: The Mission<\/strong><br \/><strong>3815 N. Brown Ave., Scottsdale<br \/>7122 E. Greenway Parkway, #140, Scottsdale<br \/><\/strong>Chef Matt Carter\u2019s modern, Latin-inspired restaurant <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.themissionaz.com\/\">The Mission<\/a> is the final Arizona restaurant to sneak onto the list. The Mission boasts two Scottsdale locations, in Old Town and Kierland, and has a third on the way in Gilbert at Epicenter.  The Yelp list specifically highlighted the Old Town location\u2019s rustic, candlelit space.
