For cinephiles who don\u2019t want to say \u201cski you later\u201d to Utah, the memories made at the last-ever Sundance Film Festival in Park City will be priceless \u2026\u00a0but the films on its 2026 lineup<\/a> certainly aren\u2019t. This year, Olivia Wilde\u2019s The Invite<\/a> was the subject of a 72-hour bidding war involving offers from multiple industry heavy hitters. Ultimately, A24 emerged victorious as the studio that will be sending The Invite out to moviegoers. Mia Wasikowska stars as one of the boys\u2019 mothers in her return to the screen after three years.<\/p>\n Price: <\/strong>Seven figures, according to Deadline<\/a> Distributor: <\/strong>Sony Pictures Classics<\/p>\n Oscar-nominated Babel actress Rinko Kikuchi stars as Haru, who loves competing in Tokyo\u2019s ballroom-dance scene with her Mexican husband, Luis. While she is grieving his unexpected death, her friends coax her back to the studio, and she becomes infatuated with the new instructor.
